it's always funny when someone points out bugs, glitches and missing features in game A and compare them to game B with even more bugs, glitches and missing features ...

oh and don't forget the budget and team size compare

i sometimes wonder hows even possible that game with 100+ million budget and 1+ thousand developers (in total) ends in me noticing more than 10 bugs and 50 glitches in first day...

oh well so much for 'AAA' titles

Most likely he's some little kid, obsessed with guns, gangs and crime, so of course GTA would be the best game in the world in his eyes. As far as I'm concerned, it's simply another cash cow; it won't be long before another is released, and another, and another and so on so forth. It's always the same with the console market, they pump those games out like sausages in a sausage factory. Anyway, good to see another retard getting flamed to death and then banned for good measure, good call that. If he wants to run to another forum and cry about the injustice then good luck to him, they'll probably get just as fed up with his whining as we did.

Though I'm usually in agreement with such sentiments, Rockstar has maintained the small business attitude after many successes. The GTA series has actually gotten better with each release, and they have continued to produce other unique/quality titles.

I would say they are an aberration in the gaming industry though. Most others get eaten up after their first success, by the money machines (EA, Sega, etc.), and lose their original Dev teams (thereby their creative edge).

Even Koei has become bland and unimaginative. I used to like the Dynasty/Samurai Warriors series, but today I saw one for the Hundred Years War... I vowed to stop playing Koei games then.

I think the most fun I had in GTA (San Andreas), was looking for things in the game that didn't really exist (Big Foot, chasing UFOs, hunting sharks, ghost soldiers, etc. ).

I agree that M&B has far more staying power, but you have to remember that GTA is basically a linear game with the illusion of free form play. Once the story line missions are done, there is little but self made mayhem left (I haven't played the new one yet, but the side missions in the old ones never really interested me much).

The only other game, that has stayed on my computer as long as M&B, was Morrowind ..... So that should say alot to a certain crowd  .

One thing he was right about: story.
Not saying I want a "story", like in other RPG games, but the game should have a good background history setup.
The single best part of this game is that it's so open-ended. You can play however the hell you want. Build up a cool castle and make a huge empire? Go fuckin' nuts. Be the greatest merchant ever? Sure. Just stab shit? Knock yerself out.

Bigfoot is not in San Andreas. Numerous people have crawled through all the textures included in the various versions and there is no Bigfoot skin (and no Leatherface skin either, for that matter). If you want to post nonsense about things in a game it's far too late to do so for San Andreas.

About the whole story line thing,

But war is a harsh master. It gives away death and grief to the lot, fortune to a chosen few, and glory, wise men say, to none. Still, men ride to war, for one or other reason. Some because they are looking for thrill and excitement, some because they are desperate and know no other way. Some because they are so bitter and hateful that they are willing to unleash doom on earth... And yet some, because they are the very heroes who will step forward to stop that...

To be honest, that's a good enough story for me.

Just wish that Native would have better writing than its current state. Everything feels so generic and stale

OTOH, M&B is the only indie game which I've been playing for a few years already, and never put down permanently. Most other indie games I've already stopped playing (even though I haven't uninstalled yet), but M&B's staying power is too huge to resist.
