Version 0.951 Bug reports  « on: May 05, 2008, 05:22:04 pm »

Hello,

Please report any bugs you encounter in version 0.951 in this thread. It would be great if you could be as specific as possible. Many thanks in advance for your help.

Pixel shading in DX 7 doesn't work.  None of the objects seem to have shaders when I run it in that mode.  I have pixel shading checked in configuration.  It worked in previous versions for dx 7

Are the save games supposed to be incompatible? Just from .950 to .951 it doesn't appear that the save games work.

They never maintain compatibility between beta versions. (at least not in recent memory)

Just a few minor glitches:
Weaponsmith's stall in Narra (or is it Nerra) has several misaligned props(practice swords).
Firentis introductory speech, he says something like: I was a commander of horse.

There's nothing incorrect about that.  "Horse" can be used in that context as a synonym for cavalry, like "Commander of Foot" would mean an infantry commander.

The trainer mentions Zendar in some of his dialogs. ;)

In .950, using the Age slider would cause hair to gray, gain some white hairs, then turn completely white.
In .951, it seems it can only gray.

Not sure if it is actually a bug, but do looters really have to have so much loot on them? Caught three parties of them and they all were with full inventory of stuff, not less than 30 items and not very cheap, and that's the most weak troops.

P.S. Do we have old ragdolls back or is it just my imagination?

The glitch where all the words and messages change into blocks of colour is still there. Pretty annoying since I have to restart the game.

I think that this is a fix to a previous bug. One of the Guild Master quests is to recover stolen goods from looters (i.e. Dried Meat or Fish or Apples). They never had these goods on them to recover.

You mean the old falling backwards death animation? Why, yes we do. And we still have the new dramatic and slower one, that apparently sets in if the finishing blow hits in the back of a person.
But yeah, speaking of ragdolls, we still have the new, twitchy horse ragdolls.

On a sidenote, anyone else getting these strange, shivering, blurry and quite distracting stripes appearing on your screen when you move your view? I'm using dx7, haven't tried out dx9 yet. I hope that's a bug and not my screen thinking of retiring.

Upper left hand corner mirror/discoball effect in any scene with bodies of water, including battlefields.
Only happens with fast reflections disabled.
