Oldest version 0.210 is available for download!
« on: April 01, 2008, 12:30:39 pm »
This was part of our April Fools joke, with it supposedly being a leaked final 1.0/1.210 release candidate. However, it is fun to see how far the game has come since version .210, so feel free to download and enjoy it.

The original post remains below.

EDIT3:And quit asking for the real leaked final version. There's no such thing.

Alright now maybe Armagan is having trouble with the connections so he hasn't been able to inform us himself, but Karka(some descendant of Sherlock perhaps) apparently found a link.

Hah, I think final version should be release soon. You decide.

I am getting good at this I think.

I downloaded it,  it's real!

EDIT: I realize that some of you might feel sceptic about Armagan not informing us himself, but you know, this isn't the first time the fans announced the new version and not him. Happened with .730 as well. And I've been a member since .622 and not really too interested in receiving bans over posting virus links(if the taleworlds.com part doesn't convince you.) It's not even weekend  yet so the chances of me simply being a drunken jackass are pretty slim.

EDIT2: For those who still feel sceptic, here's a screenshot I took showing a nice new sword and town.

There's quite a load of new stuff so there's no chance I could list them all. But here's what I noticed after a 10min play:

- improvements in the combat system.

- even more polished, and slightly better graphics.

- new items.

- slight tweaks in the character development system.

- new, awesome sounds. Though some of them might be replacements.

It's amazing. So many new skills, and enemies have been buffed up. I just lost to a group of river pirates!

This is so awesome!
Those new map icons are really beautiful. Especially I love party models.
Animations are also completely redone, they are now much better than before.

I must say, I liked the old walk animation better, but the rest of the improvements really make up for it.  :)
It's amazing how they managed to decrease the size too. M&B really will live up to it's name as a 'lightweight' game!

There's been huge optimisation to improve performance on low end machines too. Looks like Armagan has finally fixed those shader bugs at last.

Oh no, Not again. It seems that someone has discovered the new version file again.

OK. Just to make things clear, this is not the official release version, but a release candidate which was meant to be distributed to people in the development team, and a closed group of testers. Therefore it still lacks a lot of content and fixes that will be in the final release.

I am happy to hear the positive feedback in this thread. I was a bit worried some players wouldn't like some of the changes, but hopefully, this doesn't seem to be the case.

Ah, I was wondering why there wasn't a tutorial, or proper graphics options, OR, capital letters in some spots. :P
